Baey Yam Keng Gives Good Advice Regarding A-Levels.

It’s that time of the year again…No, not Chrismas. Nope, not Hari Raya. Or Chinese New Year. Fine, it’s the time A-Levels results come out. This year, 93.5% of those who took the examinations did well. However, we’re not here for them. We’re here for the 6.5% who didn’t. The 717 students who didn’t do so good. So is Baey Yam Keng.

He has this piece of advice to share.

Posted on his Facebook page, Baey Yam Keng consoled those who didn’t do well (or didn’t do well enough for their expectations). It might be just common sense, but sometimes it helps hearing the words come out from a successful figure.

Baey did get some scrutiny from Netizens regarding his grades, with some saying they’d kill for what he got.

That had Baey editing his initial comment to better reflect his intentions, which was to give encouragement to those who think they’ve not done well enough for their examinations.

It’s great to strive to conquer every single examination in our life. Life however, might have other plans. Failure is an essential part of life and knowing how to manage our expectations and overcome it is integral.

Today’s problems might seem like the end of the world…but 20 years down the road, it’ll seem inconsequential in the grand scheme of things. Besides, getting a bad result for the A-Levels is far from the being the end of the road…there are a ton of options available!

I guess what Baey Yam Keng is trying to say is just keep moving forward and don’t let anything keep you down. That’s something we agree with too!
