By now, even if you’re not into tech or PC gaming, the name Aftershock should still be familiar to you. Chances are, somebody you know (or hell, even yourself) might have bought one of their customized desktops or notebooks. It’s no wonder, Aftershock is one of the biggest homegrown tech names in the field. Now, they’re growing even bigger with the opening of Aftershock Endgame.
No, it does not involve Marvel or Thanos in any shape or form. It’s a one stop experience for everything PC gaming.
We were invited to head on down to their grand unveiling yesterday and here’s what we found.
To call Aftershock Endgame a boutique would be doing it a huge disservice.
It’s much, much more than that. It’s like if you rolled IKEA, Sim Lim Square and Funan all into one. It’s like a mecca for gamers and tech heads.
The idea behind Aftershock Endgame is a simple one; have pretty much everything you for PC gaming under one roof. That’s nothing new, most major electronic stores do it already. What Aftershock Endgame does goes beyond that.
Everything on sale at Aftershock Endgame, you can test out.
You see a Razer keyboard that catches your eye? It’s available for you to demo. A mouse? Same thing. Speakers? You bet. The only thing you can’t test out? Routers and Wi-Fi gear. That’s because they don’t sell them there…yet. That’ll will change in the future.
Apart from that, anything you see in the location, there’s a demo unit available.
That’s on top of everything Aftershock produces.
Yup, the company’s lineup of desktops and notebooks are represented as well and they’ve tied up with other major brands like Razer and Secret Lab too! Wait…isn’t there a huge GPU shortage right now?
Not if you’re in Aftershock Endgame.
Talking to Marcus (one of the founders of Aftershock), he mentioned that the company has managed to secure a great number of GPUs, though they’re only selling them to those who’ve done business with them before.
That keeps them priced competitively, instead of what scalpers are charging online.
There’s also another little nifty surprise for those who head on over to Aftershock Endgame; the Mash Experiential Showroom located in a corner of the space.
Born from a partnership between Tempest (a Singaporean keyboard maker) and Aftershock, the Mash Experiential Showroom proudly showed off a range of the company’s mechanical keyboards, with all types of different switches!
Even better, you can even assemble your own, which was what we actually did yesterday!
It was really fun and super zen. Fitting in the switches to the base seemed like a puzzle at first, but it quickly grew on us how simple it was.
We got to pick our switches, the chassis and even the keycaps!
You can mix and match to your heart’s content, so no worries if you want a green plastic chassis with a Japanese-themed keycap and clicky switches!
Don’t know how to do that?
No worries, the guys at Mash will be happy to help you out!
I really suggest you pop by the store to check out Mash’s offerings…but if that’s an issue, you can also peruse their wares online at their website.
It might be a bit cliched to call Aftershock Endgame an experience, but that’s pretty much what it is. It’s not only a space for you to check out the latest and greatest gaming gear, but it’s also a place to get down and test them out too.
Once you’re done, you can then nab pretty much everything you need to set up a great gaming machine all in one place.
That’s what I’d call a one stop shopping experience.
