The UK is facing a new strain of the Covid-19 virus which is supposedly 70 per cent more transmissible than the original. Despite countries doing their best to limit travel coming in from Britain, the new strain has already found it’s way to several countries including Singapore.
Japan is taking matters into its own hands by banning all arrivals from all countries until 31 December. While there are exemptions and safety protocols in place for those travelling for business and residents returning home to Japan; the majority will still not be able to enter.
As of now, there are already two confirmed cases of the new strain in Japan, so safety is the highest priority.
