The usual recreations activities are not exactly a safe way to spend your free time now during the pandemic. And as such, cycling as an alternative has been steadily rising over the past few months.
And, like with any activity; mishaps are a possibility.
On December 13, a lone cyclist riding down a slope at Dairy Farm Nature Park found himself in a dangerous situation, when he fell into a forested area.
Thankfully, Concorde Security, who were patrolling the area, spotted the cyclist in need of assistance.
Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) was soon alerted to the situation, and eventually, the cyclist was carried out of the area safely. It is unclear if the cyclist suffered any injuries.
It would wise to take this incident as a tale of caution to avoid cycling alone in rural areas.
