A veteran policeman has taken his own life out of distress.

Mental distress is as real as it gets, and it can affect anyone from a simple merchant to someone with power. And no matter how difficult things may get, no one is alone.

An off duty policeman from Hong Kong found himself in the crossroads of such a state and chose to take his own life. The 57-year-old constable was found in the interview room of Cheung Chau Police Station with his pistol in his right hand, and a wound to his right temple.

The fallen policeman left messages indicating that he was in financial distress and that he was thankfully for everyone’s support. He also requested his colleagues to inform his wife and friends of his demise.

Suicide is not a solution. If you need help, seek it.
