Xiong Jiawei a National University of Singapore student (NUS) who is 28 now, allegedly committed the crime of exposing and stimulating himself in front of a woman at the science library of NUS on April 10 last year.
He was then charged for the offence last year, and if convicted, he could serve up to a year of sentence. However, the charge has since been reduced to up to three months and fined if convicted.
Now, an arrest warrant has been issued for Xiong Jiawei on October 26 this year, but it is unclear why.
As of now, the latest information is that Xiong Jiawei is on the run, having returned illegally to China and a review of the case will take place in the State Courts on June 7, next year.
