So far, Singapore has been managing the coronavirus with limited community cases appearing daily. And as much as all of these seems like a good level of progress, it may not be enough for Singapore to quality for Phase 3 of safe reopening this December.
One of the criteria for executing Phase 3 is to ensure that the TraceTogether process reaches an uptake of 70%. However, recent reports from The Smart Nation and Digital Government Office (SNDGO) have indicated that only 50.8% of app and token are in use.
It is very unlikely that the percentage will increase to 70% before the year ends unless everyone plays their part in adopting TraceTogether.
