Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula One champion tested positive for the coronavirus on November 30 after displaying mild symptoms.
Details of the incident were reinforced by a statement given by Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team, that clarified that Lewis Hamilton was in prior contact with someone who has also been tested positive for the virus before arriving in Bahrain.
The Formula One champion is currently in isolation according to the official Covid-19 guidelines. And due to this unforeseen circumstance, Lewis Hamilton will not be participating in Sakhir Grand Prix this weekend.
A replacement driver will take his place, but as to whom that maybe is yet to be revealed.
