A day of entertainment turned out to be a dangerous encounter for one billionaire.
On November 14, Qian Fenglei, a Chinese tycoon, who was leaving Dynasty Club on Harbour Road in Wan Chai with his assistant, Fang, got attacked by three armed men.
The men were covered in black and were using knives in the confrontation. A fourth man was also present at the scene, behind a getaway vehicle.
Both Qian and Fang suffered multiple injuries from the incident and have been sent to Pamela Youde Nethersole Eastern Hospital for treatment.
On November 15, Qian took matters into his own hands by posting up a bounty for information on his attackers that may assist officers in their investigations. Those who can provide reliable evidence can receive a reward of up to HK$10 million (S$1.73 million).
