If you’ve been living in Singapore long enough, you would have probably been to some of Robinsons’s store at some point in life. The company which has been in Singapore for more than 160 years, is taking its leave.
On October 30, in a press release by the Al-Futtaim Group, owners of Robinsons, stated that the last two department stores at The Heeren and Raffles City Shopping Centre will be closing for good.
The reason for its closure was based on consumers’ rapidly evolving buying patterns that have created a weak demand for its products which escalated even further due to the pandemic.
