Netflix is set to undertake the task of bringing one of Ubisoft’s largest gaming franchises, Assassin’s Creed, to our screens. And given how they handled The Witcher series, I have high hopes for this! The deal between the two companies will include the development of live-action, animated, and anime series.
The announcement of the project came in through a teaser from Netflix’s Twitter account. And despite not revealing much, fans of the series are bound to instantly feel goosebumps from recognizing the legendary Ezio’s Family theme being used in the background.
As a fan of the Assassin’s Creed games, the amount of source material that’s available for this project is limitless. I wonder if they’ll use the existing content from the games to create these shows or if it will be used as a form of reference to introduce newer Assassins into the franchise.
Either course of approach will be interesting to watch, but hopefully, we get to witness the prominent Ezio Auditore in action down the line!
