On October 21, a woman surnamed Lui who was tying up her shoelaces by a reservoir got pushed into it and lost her life by drowning. The victim was of 47 years old, and the person who shoved her in was tragically none other than her very own friend.
If that wasn’t tragic enough, it’s confirmed that both friends ended up drowning together on that day. The incident took place at Wuxiangshan Reservoir in Nanjing city’s Lishui District and was recorded on a surveillance camera. And according to the statements of the local police, the assailant, surnamed Shi, was of 43 years old.
Police investigations are still ongoing, but they seem to have found that Shi was suffering from depression.
