Let’s be honest people we tend to have more shoes than we wear and most of the time it eventually winds up in the bin. So instead of adding to the already existing pile of unrecycled goods, why not donate them for a good cause that will ultimately benefit you?
SportSG has started a collection drive for used shoes that ends on November 30. The project will recycle all of the rubberised soles and use it as materials in the construction of playgrounds, fitness corners and jogging tracks.
You can easily do your part in aiding this nationwide effort by merely visiting one of the thirty collection points near your area, and drop off your unwanted shoes.
