An elderly falls to his death, just minutes after a young woman threatened to take her own life.

On September 30, a 58-year-old man was found lying still on the ground and was soon after pronounced dead by the paramedics, at 6,47 am. The man was allegedly seen falling out of his flat from the fifth floor by a witness, according to Shin Min Daily News. The Police department is currently pursuing an investigating into the unnatural death.

And roughly 700m meters away and four minutes before on the same day, a 24-year-old woman was found on the edge of the sixth floor. Thankfully, before anything horrible could have happened, she was stopped and arrested by the police, under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) Act.

Both unfortunate tragedies took place in Toa Payoh.
